I think my lovely readers come around for more than just the smut.
And I don't find it weird at all that they are thoughtful and sensitive. Thoughtfulness and sensitivity are two of the characteristics that good lovers possess!
Why wouldn't people highly interested in sex have the capability to express themselves verbally as well?

i won't specifically defend my quickly dashed off post today... on reading it in the context of your question, i find my initial post to be judgmental in tone and rude.
i think highly of your writing skill and you have considerable insight
as for the question of why readers come around your blog, or their level of sensitivity - you would know your blog readers better than i would
i do not find either thoughtfulness or sensitivity to be exclusive from an active interest in sex. i do, however, have a somewhat more, um, jaundiced view of men - and their interest in graphic sex stories
on some other sex bloggers sites i have seen readers turn on the blogger when they delved beyond the surface and the prurient
i saw none in your comments today. i saw a marked level of sensitivity
it surprised me
