Don't Argue, Don't' Bait
Part of being polite and dispassionate is not arguing with the snert. This is exactly what some hostile, oppositional users want. Some of them - especially the "freedom fighters" - will be exceptionally good at luring you into a fight. It's a trap because it's impossible to win such debates. The snert's true underlying (passive-aggressive) motive is to feel powerful and in control by antagonizing you into doing something hostile. It's a game to them, and you're their pawn.
That makes a lot of sense.

There are a few teachers that read this blog. I'm guessing this is exactly the sort of thing you see in grade-school children all the time.

I used to get a ton of this. Particularly on my FIRST blog. But the readership was very high. And I was new and totally uninhibited.
Now when I get it... they usually don't get off on my reaction?! I roll my eyes and move on typically. Not enough drama to keep them coming back for more.
Your subject matter could freak the jaded women out there. They don't really READ your words. They skim and relate them to their own ex's. The most jaded= the most CRAZZZZYYYY and one-sided.
Anyone who has READ the entirety of this blog, get it.

i read some of the comments blog_surfer left and assumed it was a man because i didn't think a woman would attack those spots in a guy
but you folks must be picking up a tonality i'm missing (i am a guy after all... :-P)
i think that the identity of anonymous/blog_surfer has been pretty much outed

i think you belled the cat a little while ago, eve. as i review various posts with the analytical lens of "They don't really READ your words. They skim and relate them to their own ex's." it makes tremendous sense.
i marvel at my own dim-wttedness.
